Hi guys,my box is working a lot better now after my recent software update but on certain channels the picture is pixelling alot?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

did you factory reset after the update and scan from main feed? try a new scart lead and recheck cable feed.

Thanks I did a factory reset but I will try a new scart lead although most channels are spot on.wondering whether its due to the footy game thats on sky sports thats popular,cuz the darts and that were all ok?????

hi im trying to update my KV a780 via laptop, I have the new files but once I try to send the file to the box it says "downloading is not requested" and I carnt update my box.... and wen I try via network it says update will start after reboot, but the box just comes on and the update does not start.... can anyone please help thank you.

if box is used and not new try the online update late at night or early morning.
downloading not requested could be box not powered off at rear then press download and power on box and/or com port on loader may need to be changed com 1 - com 2 etc or usb adapter does not work cause lack of drivers.

its an old box iv updated before via network but this time it doesn't work.... iv don all that, powered off from the back then on after pressing start on the downloader and changed port coms... its a new usb adapter and installed correctly... not shore what els I can do ....

null modem cable and old pc is best way which works,did you try online update last thing at night or early morning?

Ya mate iv tried the online update number of times.... 5am.. 6pm all different times, it says update will start after re-boot.... it reboots but doesn't start update... it just switches on and goes to the channel

never heard anyone mentioning reboot,what way is box connected to lan and what date is on box?

Georgia0813 I think the channels your talking about are some of the Disney channels and a number of music channels like viva and vh1. A few of my friends boxes are the same. Anyone else have problems with these?

Box should reboot then start downloading, menu/system info check date if very old date box will not update with remote, cable very likely using wrong null cable, search on Ebay for "null cable kryptview" to update box.

ya i have a new null cable... and the date on my box is 2013 so very old update.. gona have to try another cable... thanks

anyone you know have an old xp desktop with rs232 to hook up box and null modem cable to.

I had problems updating as well, best thing to do is if you can do the update with a lan cable, hook it up to a wireless modem and NOT the vg router and hold down the vol up button whilst the update is taking place, you might have to do this a couple of times to force the update through the lan cable.
