    Any way of...

I have currently moved in to a new home and there is a VM modem in an upstairs bedroom, i would like to use the Krptview box in a different room, for example downstairs.
Is there any way of getting the krypview box to work in the different room? How would i get a coaxail cable in to the back of the Kryptview and then an internet connection on top of that, or would i need to find a new way of getting a Modem installed downstairs?

    Cheers.

put a splitter in before modem one side goes to your modem and should give you your cat5/lan connection.other side is the coaxial that goes into back of box to give box the cable channels to scan from.homeplugs can give you a lan connection if on same ring circuit.

Thank you for your help, but let me see if i am correct here, i am refering to the white box that the engineers installed that sends the signal to the cabinet... then the white box has a coaxail coming out of it. Is that the modem or have i got my words wrong? IF i am right, i need to put a splitter in to that? So then i need to get a coaxail into the splitter long enough to reach the room where the kryptview box will be?

      Thanks.

The white box connected to the wall is the VM point of access to there services, this is generally followed by a length of Coax from the white box to either your modem or tivo box

          Thank you for the correction.

Ok, so is there any way of using the kryptview in a different room no way near the original VM point, or is it a case of just having to drill some holes and getting a long Coax cable?

          Thanks.

I second the Good Quality cable stance and if you can Tools permitting of course use Compression F Connectors if possible and cable should be a minimum of WF100/TX100/CT100 etc...
