Alright mate having the same problem, although I've still got my channels at the minute as when I last did a scan a few weeks ago I still had Edinburgh netid so I'm not going to factory default unless people report that they've managed to get them back.

Out of interest how did you manually scan?

When I tried this the first time I lost my netid a few months ago this is what I was doing.

        1. Factory reset delete all channels.
        2. Turn box off and on.
        3. Enter manual scan
        4. Add TP
        5. Enter my net ID frequency for uddingston 40984 which is freq 61900 symbol rate 6952 qam 64
        6.Add another TP
        7. enter same frequency and symbol rate but with qam 256
        8. scan manually on both new frequencies which picks up 5 channels each (the same ones)
        9. delete channels
        10. turn box off and on
        11. network scan selecting telewest (my area)

It was still only picking up the same netids as before and mine was still missing

I tried a few different frequencies too and not deleting channels etc before network scanning but nothing worked.

I'd be interested to hear how other people were trying to manual scan using their frequency from their subbed box so I can compare notes!

        Cheers

recheck info from your sub box, remember to try another provider on the 850 when scanning.

Thanks I'm sure of the info from subbed box and had also tried the other providers.

What I'm really after is for someone who had got it working to go through the precise order they entered the details, scanned, turned off box etc. For example if u try scanning net ID without first deleting channels it doesn't find anything at all but that might be down to the order im doing it or me missing an important step so would be good to compare.

            Cheers

I've had the same issue for ages now with the A850 box. This seems to be a kryptview problem. Been using a different net ID that picks up the Sky movies and Sky sports channels.

i've tried the numerous ways suggested in this forum.

i think it's something that kryptview need to look into. I've got a a780 box and have no issues as it picks up my correct net ID.

                  Thanks for letting me know.

I found the following guide on another forum for a similar problem with the a780.

                  1. factory default MENU-INSTALLATION-0000-FACTORY DEFAULT SETTING-OK
                  2. delete all channels MENU-USER PREFERENCE-0000-DELETE ALL CHANNELS-OK
                  3. delete all sat/tps MENU-USER PREFERENCE-0000-SAT./T.P.EDIT-OK-NTL (your provider)- (scroll right, then left to delete)
                  4. factory default
5, edit sat/tps, go to who your provider is, change qam to 256 MENU-USER PREFERENCE-0000-SAT./T.P.EDIT-OK-NTL (your provider)-scroll right-OK-schroll to Qam and set to 256 on each
                  6. go to installation, select your provider MENU-INSTALLATION-0000-AUTOMATIC SEARCH-NTL (your provider)-ensure network scan selected)
7 start search, by pressing green button
                  8. when your area appears, scroll up and select it,press OK
                  9. after its finished, exit, turn off via remote,
                  10. hopefully happy days,

I'm not sure if on the a850 you can delete all of the TPs in the manual scan section or delete the provider from the network scan section then re-enter them. I think that is the key part and might need a firmware update to resolve.

Yeah I think that's the problem, even when you're editing the TPs the box is still scanning using the original settings. It's strange that some of the missing netids did reappear for a short while then disappeared again though!

I see from other forums someone suggested that factory resetting is the cause of the problem. Can anyone confirm that if you just delete all channels you can then perform a network scan?
