Slight problem with set up

Hello, i have set my kryptview box up via a splitter.

VM to splitter, one coaxail to broadband hub, the second into the KY box

Soon as i've done this, there seems to be a massive hit with the internet connection / speeds, taking a lot longer than normal to connect to pages on the wifi via my phone or laptop, very slow responding, and the KY box pictures goes scrambled, then normal etc.

Do you think this is a problem with the VM broadband hub, or the splitter?

My hub runs both 2ghz and 5ghz

try a new splitter needs to be 5-1000mhz i think.. giving out atleast 3.5db out of each output ive had trouble like that before once i change splitter to a better one it worked spot on, poor quality splitters or the wrong splitter can seriously affect signal quality for both broadband a digital tv reception

I also was on the wrong signal number for my internet too.

Does anyone else reading this recommend a Pheonix HD box, or something better via vermin

im sure they are not compatible with vm... in my experience that was the splitter i had an issue with. i know if you get a 5-1000mhz with atleast 3.5db each output u will not have any issues providing it is a splitter issue, but it sounds very much a like the situation i had

Thank you for your help, i have looked at the one you've sent me, it is stated as a 2 way splitter but has 3 ports? Is that right? Thanks

yes one is the input from service provider and the other 2 are outputs

I've just had a look at the one i've currently got. it is 5-1000mhz

with one 3.6 and the other 4

It's probably just a faulty splitter. I've had issues with poor quality ones in the past and swapping them out usually resolves the problem.

It could also be your signal strength is not high enough to be split and still work effectively on two feeds. Another possibility is the cable you are using from the splitter to the router/box.

Try a new splitter first they are cheap as chips, then new cables and if neither work then it's a matter of increasing your signal strength and only VM can do that.

they were good once upon a time but too many issue leave you with a blank screen.the newer boxes boxes can run kodi direct to a point and get lovely movies and sports?
