amiko mini combo help needed :)

i bought this on impulse

and have a a780 for yrs this is the place i post mostly and i dont see an amiko part if there is please move me

ok ... "i cant find any channels"

i have correct fw on it from lava.... and the vm feed ... cables are all new ... i know my freq is 40962 but it will not find owt with blind scan or any other scan

i have read many of the posts on amiko's but none are any help to me

bet im missing somthing stupid too

i am sure @cactikid will be along shortly as memory serves he did say this brand of receiver has a very weak tuner and can cause problems on some installations

yes it can reboot router or if possible scan main coaxial feed before splitter,on the cable tuner should have options to change for your area and also make sure qam 16.64,and 256 are set to scan on also.yes boxes have weak tuners and may get hd breakup.

yes the tuner is only getting 6% iv not seen it in the green yet !

make sure your actually scanning cable incase its a switchable tuner dvb/c-dvb/t and set to dvb/c.

MODULATION = QAM 256
LCN = OFF/ON

plugged in old vm box to check those numbers but couldnt find them only 40962 which i know

but do i need a sub feed ? if so its going back

trouble is if vm box is old and not currently working ,the new data on working boxes might have changed.until you know 100% correct netid.have a look here to see if that helps.

the vm box is not that old and used upstairs net id is 40962

you should at least be getting the FTA channels such as BBC,ITV etc...

thats what i thought too but ... tuner quality has not gone above 6% but has and does drop to 5%

Settings don't look right,
Net ID 40961
Freq 53900
Symbol Rate 6952,
QAM 64/256 if both can't be scanned at the same time scan 256 as not many channels use 64, may be of some help, good luck.

I put symbol rate to 6952 and got a level bar of 87% and a Quality bar of 90% did a scan but only found 7 chans and sweet it does work I guess I just need the correct numbers from this area (hx)

Thanks muchly lac I'm one step closer what do I set the tp index to 1/70?

the scan found 12 but i cant view them as they r locked or junk will try other settings later when kids r quieter

Using the above settings change the Freq to 59500, good luck.
