No network Id Wolverhampton can anyone help me figure out the TP
No network Id Wolverhampton can anyone help me figure out the TP
Hi I have tried following other peoples ideas for the no network id using the TP but everything I tried doesn't work. Just wondering if anyone can give me ideas how to search manually.
yes if you bothered to read other kv threads you would have seen boxes are down so scanning at the moment may not work.
there is a sticky for information on netids in the cable section.

I did notice people saying the boxes are down. I have managed to do a auto search using Stoke (FF Manchester). Which allows me to get most channels but not all. So that's why I thought I would ask here if anyone had ideas for Manually. But I guess I will just have to wait until kryptview sort it never mind.
scanning wrong area tp wont bring in all channels, get correct netid off a vm box to be sure in getting correct number, keep an eye on forums as they will all say back and back now.
There's a lot of trial and error I'm afraid and when I and others managed to get ort netids back I don't think any of us were that convinced what we had done actually solved the problem or if it was just coincidence. In saying that I did notice that when factory resetting and rescanning I only ever got the same 18 or so netids but when I started adding tps they started to come through so there must be something in it.
The four tps that are always listed in manual scan appear to relate to the former areas (NTL, EX c & w, Chorus and Telewest). Pick the one for your area and start adding new tps with 6952 as the symbol rate and 128 & 256 as the qam performing a newtork scan between adding each tp and then deleting all channels as per the instructions on the other thread.
E.G if you're in a NTL area add tps 25000 6952 124, 25000 6952 256
Ex C & W add 666.75 3952 124 and 66675 6952 256
Chorus add 34800 6952 128 and 34800 6952 256.
Delete all channels after each network scan and keep an eye on the number of net ids to see if any additional ones appear even if it's not yours as that may lead to to the correct frequency.
This all might be complete rubbish but it's worth a try.
