Can't get the kryptview to switch on

Been having trouble since the last problems took off all the satellite channels
After advice I bought the null modem cables and downloaded an update - still the same problem all channels scrambled
realised the download I had loaded was dated 2013
just found a 2015 version and set about downloading that
all going well till I reached the part were you switch of the box then switch back on
it does not switch on
checked and changed fuse in plug that's fine
opened box and checked all wires they seem fine
just can't get the box to switch on
other than buying a new one has anyone got any ideas
ive had them box 5 years and apart from the occasional scrambling it's been great value against sly Virmin and now bt

could be dodgy switch,google replacemysocket.

Do you mean Ethernet socket or mains socket

the Ethernet socket looks coloured at the back and flashing

Got it working now and used the download from 20 01 15 all the channels there but scrambled
tried to do a s/w update but nothing happens
an anyone help please

why do people try updating latest firmware online?current firmware will always be in downloads.
did you factory reset and rescanned from main feed then if need be reboot box and router.

Thats what I do purely as its the only way I know how to!
