KV A850 HD on 26/05/14

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me. I have the A850 HD box, which had been working fine but has been showing scrambled for the last couple of months. I've tried restarting the router hub, direct feed etc but still having the same issue.

I have the 26/05/14 FW on there, but anytime I try to do an internet update, the box just appears to freeze, after which I switch the mains off (after leaving for about 30-40mins). I assume this will not update as I am currently on the latest FW?

I get FTA channels only, I have factory restored and tried searching for channels again; now I have 3 issues;

(1) I am still not able to get any channels except FTA.
(2) The channels are no longer in order and appear completely random.
(3) I used to be in NThell area with NETID00012. When I search with this on my box I get nothing. The only one which picks a signal and a channel list is if I select TelePest. But still no channels.


I'm really hoping someone can help here, most probably Cactikid

Ethernet lead alright? did u try another just in case, u do pay for tv in case they have cut u off, if u pay use your subbed box for netid.

I ruled out the fact they've cut me off because FTA channels are still working. Plus I pay monthly for the standard TV package so they shouldn't cut me off. I've tried with a new ethernet plus a wireless bridge, failed each time.

I'm scanning for channels using teletwest, seemed strange to me at first because my area was definately NtL before, but as I mentioned previously no channels are found when I select NtL, I instead have to use telewest to find all channels.

Just an update - some channels seem to be working such as sports and movies but most of them are coming up as scrambled. Such as dave, all the Asian channels and most HD channels not working.

Would anyone know if this to do with the telewest selection rather than NtL or anything to do with that? Or is this just the box as of now? Channels are still really random so would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction to get these assorted like the original Virgin setup or something similar.

asian channels more likely gone for good,sounds like wrong netid used.if you have a providers box you can get the important info to use on kv.

Thanks buddy I'll see if I can dig it out from somewhere probably be a long grinding find though.

Any chance you could point me towards getting my channels assorted in sequence so that channel 1 is 101 etc...

i dont have that box or in uk so unsure what way channels can be setup as favourites.

digging it out ,you need a working uptodate vm box near you to give correct info for scanning kv with.
what area are you in as someone might know your net id?

if u have to dig box out, then connect it up u are going to have to call vermin because box is going to need a hit to work, we'll provide u with what u paid for, before u can get deets u need.

I'm in Leicester from what I remember the NeTid is 00012.

Can anyone confirm that is correct!?

Thanks cactikid, the link confirms my NeTid is correct so nothing to change there. I've tried reset and rescan, but I'm only picking up signal on the telewest rescan option, when in fact I was definitely on NtL. So not sure what's happening here?

Also I take it nobody knows how to sort the channels, I thought they're would be a file push which sorts the channels into ascending order ?
