Im thinking of swapping my trusty old dbox for a 750 would you say the epgs and picture quality is better on the 750 than a dbox? or should i stick with the dbox2 still?

the epg imo is better on the dbox 2 and the picture quality is very similar.
these boxes thus far are the best supported on the market and that includes open source such as dbox or dreambox. you can change images like you can with the linux boxes but if the boxes get hit i would think that the kv is most likely to release a fix before any other.
having said all that i would personally stick with your dbox if its working ok.
