What's a good alternative to A780, preferably HD?

I'm a real novice at this but would welcome recommendations for an alternative unit, preferably HD and internal HDD? Love the A780 but future looks bleak.....

      Mutant HD2400
      Xtrend ET8000 / 10000
      Vu Solo /Duo

Pound for pound which is best machine, based on ease of use (compared to 780) set up, speed and picture quality. Time to move on as Kryptview no more......

solo and duo are old sat tuner boxes, xtrend 8000 excellent fast 3 swappable tuner box, xtrend 10000 can take 4 tuners.mutant is also good but not as popular and rumours xbmc might be supported on this box in the future?

Okay CK getting my head around this. Leaning towards xtrend (looks like XBMC on horizon), options of HDD will work out, free enigma2 firmware??? OPENVIX / OPENPli / OPENATV. All I want to do is plug and play like old KV.

          Your informed recommendation appreciated.

Yes but i think he was asking if there was a box like kv, where you dont pay anything, not the plug and PAY box you have .
