waiting for code update

had kryptivew working for months, last two days all channels say waiting for code update, rescanned no difference? thanks

what happend to make it go wrong in the first place? did you do factory reset? anyway i would first check all the connections then make sure you have scanned on the correct network think it telepest in your area, you should be getting mid 30 tps found and the list of channels found after that, when done put on skysports1 and let it update

all the channels have doubled up, two of each channel but both say waiting for code update. all connections fine. rescanned and still not working. they just randomly went like this, didnt do anything

The reason you've got 2 lots of channels is cos you didn't reset the box properly.

The reason people are getting the "waiting for code update" is because the box has been left on a FTA channel at the time of the update the other day.... People who were on a NG channel at the time of the double hit caught the codes instantly as there is always a few seconds in between the VM commands and thats enough for the box to do it's job.

Usually not a problem as once you change to a NG channel the box updates instantly.. but the latest keyrole was a double hit on both keys.. This causes the box to re-count the keys over and over again until its exhausted the possibilities and moves to the next key... no matter how long it seems to take if you leave it on a NG (scrambled) channel it WILL update eventually...

You're best starting again and you need to DELETE all channels and then do the factory reset.

You shouldn't need to reflash just input your details and once it's found the channels you take it to say 511 (sp1) and leave it there. Even if it takes an hour or more.

Just Out of curiosity mate do you know why there were 3 key roll changes in 2 days?

And for future reference how best is it to leave a Kryptview box overnight, on standby or just left on, and which channels,?

With my old Vermin box I had to leave it on an FTA other wise the box always run the risk of being stuck on a frequency?

With mine the last 2 days (and no doubt when I get home today) it's got the message waiting for code updat. Put it on Sly sports 1 and it clears soon enough.

I always turn to standby at night, powerscan mode.

I would just turn off as normal, then to Sly sorts if any probs.
