      were you inserting or removing cables with units powered on ,A BIG NO NO
      try local tv shop repairs or even mobile phone repairs.

          Yeah I'm guilty of unplugging and plugging whilst box is on! What do you think that would of done?!

              blown port as it got a surge,electronics you need to be gentle with and follow basic rules having both units switched off first.
