    Mate your actually in the wrong section but follow these steps you will be fine unless you are in a dreaded N3 area in which case your snookered as you box want pick anything other than fta channels..

    1. Press menu on remote;
    2. Now press installation then 0000;
    3. Now choose restore to factory default, then press ok
    4. You are now by default on "easy installation" screen;
    5. Choose last option "automatic search" and press ok;
    6. Now change your provider to suit your area,
    7. Now press green button "start search".
    8. A menu appears "Add TP List" and some transponder information will appear.
    9. Eventually (anywhere between 1-20 minutes) a list of locations will now appear. If this doesn`t happen or your location is not shown go back and follow the steps in 4-7 above. I have had to wipe boxes up to 6 times before my desired location is displayed. Other boxes work first time - weird!
    10. When your location is found obviously choose that and scan.
    11. Make a cup of tea and 20 minutes later your sorted.

      Hi All

      I am also experimenting with the same box and I think I found the solution to disappearing channels. I will list down the procedures followed by me in order to get channels back and here it is step by step.

      Procedure 1
      1) Take the box off the hook i.e remove the cable from back of the box.
      2) factory reset the box.
      3) Plug the cable back in
      4) Rescan and channels should appear up.

      Procedure 2 : ( I have to try this as I updated the firmware and lost channel again, which were not showing up with above mentioned procedure)

      1) Take the box off the hook i.e remove the cable from back of the box.
      2) factory reset the box.
      3) Plug the cable back in but not to its original socket, but other available socket.
      4) Rescan and channels should appear up.

      I tried this couple of times to get the channels, hope it works for you as well.
      It is possible that I might have tried it wrong first couple of times; hence needed to try it again.

      Tip : There is an instructions document that I have seen few months back, which list similar procedure to scan the channels.. I am really sorry I could not locate it with me. But its embeded in one of the forum.

      Happy viewing.

      Cheers
      Sabby

      Note: The VM have swaped channels hence TP search is mandatory and number of TPs has increased as well, I believe I noticed increase in TPs. I think I also observed that channel position has changed as well.
