A750 + IConnector 03012011 Firmware

i have used the Jan software a few months ago and got the box working but it went down again a month ago, is there any new software for the 750?

a750 firware fail

i've connected my a750 vie ethernet using iconnector. i've pressed menu, installation, 0000 code, selected data download, pressed s/w download, pressed ok and waited for box to update new firmware. After a few mins box reads FAIL. What am i doing wrong?

are you connecting to ethernet if not it wont update,maybe rebooting box and modem and router may help,also the iconn may need to go on/off/ on/off on a few times to connect.

how do i connect via ethernet, do you mean connect directly to my router, i am used to updating via the software packages. i am used to connecting to my pc and updating box that way.........help needed i think

s/w is done by remote only directly.
menu-system installtion-s/w update ok
do not touch anything until box reboots then factory reset and rescan without lan connected,
channels loaded insert lan,power off at rear box,modem and router and the iconn for 30 secs then on.
iconn may need switching on and off a number of times to connect.

my iconnector is connected to the ethernet and i have 3 lights on. ive tried the reboot a few times but still no luck.

i have a feeling i'm running an old firmware, it is pv3.0.05 h/w v2.0.0. The reason is my menu options are different to the ones mentioned on this forum. Does this have any implications?

it will have to have the jan firmware to update,loader and file in downloads for jan if you need it

remember the 780 and 750 have their own files be sure to use correct one

power off box modem and router for 30 secs and the iconn then on
iconn may need switching on/off a number of times to connect.

Still Cant get my iconnect to work Still sitting with Power on it not even flashing any other lights Anyone Help please

on off a number of times usually works,if all you get is power light maybe iconn broken.try poweriing off for a while and see what happens when powering on.

Hi, Im a newbie so plz be gentle.
personally ive got a780 which is running fine for me with no glitching and with the latest update via lan, but my prob is i sold a a750 with i-connector many moons ago and its got may 10 software on it, ive checked the menu for various reasons but in the installtion menu there is no s/w update to even use, the option is just not there.
First question id like to ask is where do i find the jan 11 download so i can then update via remote
and secondly is it normal for the s/w update not to be available with no option to be able to select it, do you think the box might be faulty

in downloads above you need to download the file for jan for the 750 and flash by null modem cable,this will now give you the option to s/w upgrade to the latest file,followed by a factory reset and rescan,then reboot all units

Flashing iconnectoe alone

Hi,

I reflashed my A750 with the latest update. While the i conn was being flashed , my son pulled the power out. Now the i conn has only 1 solid green led light showing (power) and no other movement. I have left it connected for several hours but nothing has happened.
Anyone know how to resolve this please?

I had the same problem as nokias with only one solid green light showing on the iconnector.
The solution is to actually flash the iconnector with a null modem and a special loader and software.
