    homeplug

    can someone give me their opinion on using homeplug system with a780 , i have read all sort of conflicting reports from "homeplugs are just an alternative to a bit of cable - nothing more !" to " safest way to connect these boxes to internet"

    Homeplugs are nothing more than a wireless system,instead of running a ethernet cable upstairs/werever you use homeplugs
    They are nothing to do with encrypting your data dont know were peeps get this idea from!

    If you want your data totally hidden fron your ISP then the only way is to use a VPN

    Alot of peeps seem to be in "blind panic" about these cs cable boxes theres no need to be!

            hi how do you enter the password for your router is thisthe same as open media wifi no ethernet cables all over the place seems cheaper than open media

                if the homeplug is just like the wired connection without the wires Y is people using this method of using any box securely ?

                  router may be 2 far away to run cables around the floor to the box,putting it through the mains with a hot plug and cable from router to plug and where you have box another hot plug and cable to box should give a circuit.

                            Yes. Just uses your mains wiring to carry the signal anywhere in the house. Works through multi-plug strips as well.
