Kryptview a780 picture breaking up

Kryptview a780 picture breaking up, tried to setup new box, flashed the lastest software ,deleted all channels, rescanned several times, tried without spillter, and added Variable Aerial Attenuator still picture is breaking, any help?

and also i wouldnt change the setting for signal devaition its set to off
i would change the other setting but not signal devation

since changing to latest firmware on a780 i am having same problem, picture breaks up on weak channels . anyone know why?

do you have a broadband only account or do you have a min sub.also how many splitters on incoming cable are there

what is your signal and quality levels on your box like ??

also please bear in mind there was a major freq shift on thursday night so i suggest you factory default your box switch it off at the back for 1min then turn it back on and do new scan making sure the cable is in the RF in and not the loop out and also not been fed from your providers box loop out either

and you say you tried with splitters off does that include your broadband if you are getting it via cable ?? as that is also a split !!

Broadband :
I have broadband only account with talktalk upto 24 meg.

Signal & quality(S&Q)
I tried different TP and following are there levels S&Q

Telewest : seven kings = s – 56 & q 72
Telewest : lewisham = s – 52 & q 82
Telewest : cryodon = s - 25 & q 20

I have also tried other TP but same result, all the FTA channels are working but Nagra channels are breaking up pretty worst I would say every 20 – 40 sec it freezes and displays scrambled and no video.

Frequency shift on Thursday.
I have been trying this for past 4 days with no luck I would have followed this process for at least 20 times now. Delete – factory reset & rescan .and switch on & off at the back.

Cable in RF in.
I have tried both cable in RF in and loop out it makes no difference same result.

Splitters
I have tried splitters only for coax cable not with broadband,
I have connected broadband via a Ethernet cable direct to Ethernet port in my wireless router.


Please advise

• billiybob1234 also has this problem after firmware upgrade – r u guys using latest firmware if yes do you have this problem /
• please advise what tp do I use for custom house area east London ?
• I have also heard about booster will that help me in any ways?
• and I wouldn’t change the signal deviation is that default in A780 ?

bb only you may not be getting enough signal as it is turned down and you may need a booster.was going to post a link but site offline

That is a splitter and not a booster.

i have tried with the booster and did factory setting and end it up same results, i have run out of ideas and reallying strugling to get this up and running.

any more idea ?

I have an A750 with I-conn, and yes it does lose the plot at times, but the worst I have had is half an hour loss of signal.
Overall it's about 95% reliable.
I have found it is getting better all the time tho'
Don't forget this is (relatively) new tech. I am sure KV are experiencing a few teething probs, just bear with it.

I use a 4-port router, no splitters involved.

Having used splitters on other devices before and found them really glitchy, I opted to get a 4 port router on ebay for ?20 before I got the KV.
If you are getting a signal but it breaks up then clearly the firmware is working ok, and the signal is just being interrupted either at your end or theirs.
I live on the south coast too, and mine is ok (mostly).

I really would think about changing your router.

If you are recieving a singnal from around 72 to 86 then that should be fine..The problem may be in the software, have you tried to go back to the older file just now...Arnet will be on top of this soon as there are others with the same problem on other Forums, my channels clitch most of the time so im assuming the software might need updated..jay

If people update the firmware on the box and dont factory default the box first they will have problems, you have to factory default the box first then update the firmware on the box and do a NEW scan.

There are many reasons people have problems glitching etc, if people only pay for Broadband and not the cable, they have started to reduce the signal strenght enough just to have the BB working hence low signals on their cable.

People who do not pay for cable at all same problem signal is turned down in the outside cabnet.

People that are downloading on there BB films etc which is grabbing most of the band width, this will also cause problems.

I could go on and on at the end of the day we cant see what way these people have their boxes set up, what way there cable is, is it new old have they got it split with shit splitters, at the end of the day the more you have your cable split the more the signal is been degraded, they also forget that if they have cable BB that is also a split on their cable, i suggest they buy a booster, or try the box with nothing else on the line.

not sure hows kv works, but i know on sat cs, talk talk block ports, which basically means box dont work. just an idea.
