Hi can anyone help i have got a kryptview a780 i have put the latest firmware on 18/5/2010 but when i scan for chanels all it finds is six bbc one chanels a bbc one n ireland,bbc two,bbc2 wales,bbc2 scotland,bbc2 n ireland,bbc1 yorks,bbc1 cambs,bbc 1 south east,itv4+1,e4,e4+1,film 4,film4+1,more4,challenge jackpot,extreme sports,viewers wives and viewers wives nightly.im in the teeside virgin media area.i have the lan cable plugged in router.when it scans it says 1-8 chanels and is done in seconds.is ther something i am doing wrong or not doing.i am pressing scan for all chanels.when i turn the box into stand by mode it says power search and go"s blank.i have never used a kryptveiw before just a eurovox and that seemed simple.the chanels like extrme sports,e4,come on then when ive turned it in and out of stanby they say scrambled or no video.Help please.

First point you have an outdated firmware on your box you need to put the 18-06-2010, im sure its in the downloads on here if not let me know.
Second go to the menu installation factory default turn the box off at the back then for 1 min then back on again, after this select the auto scan bottom option, then ONLY change the TOP item PROVIDER ONLY from next screen, leave the rest alone and press the green button on the remote, next screen you will get a list of net id's choose the one closest to your area and press ok, LEAVE the box to scan when finished it will tell you to press exit do that.
Third now connect up your ethernet to your box and away ya go, make sure you have your incoming cable going direct to the RF in on the box.

thanks brainwave i did what you said and got all chanels up and working but the sound went off so re flashed with the fw i had on then done what you said it found all chanels and sound is back on.all the nagra free chans are working but if i turn my box off into standby they go off and it says scrambled or no signal does this suppose to happen or are the nagra chanels on instantly when you turn the box on i have them back on now but dont want to turn the box off into stand by in case it go"s off and wont come back on ie when a football games is about to start,is this how all the kryptveiw work or is ther something not quite right with mine.thanks again for the advice it was a great help bud.Last edited by bigfella9; 13 July, 2010, 20:56.Comment

I have A750 with iconnector, which is virtually what the A780 is I believe, and I have found its best to leave the box on.
If you go into standby it takes a few minutes to restore the channels when you switch on again.
I also lose channels briefly from time to time,sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes, but its not that often.
I think it's largely due to the nature of the reception via ethernet. I.E. we all experience the same glitches on PCs as well.Comment
