Hi Guys, ive been trying to find out more about this new cable receiver but cant really find much. Ive been using a kryptview A700 for 2 years now and im very happy with it, but i know its life is nearly over. What im trying to find is pics of the A780 and also info about if i get one ( where do i get one ) and do i have to subscribe to anything or is that in with the price. Any info would be grately received, many thanks. KD

its all in price, no sub. it looks the same as 750 KryptView.co.uk as thats what it is basically, but with a built in lan for internet connection, does exactly what 700 does but its connected to your router. read in the kryptview section as many peeps have posted sellers names who has them -

. Also, silly question but im using vermin 10 meg internet, very happy with it, do i need to change ISP's if i was to use an A780 for my educational purposes :P

i know nothing on the ip side as to whether its safe or not, but if i was going to have one i would have opposite bb to cable company thats why im not putting one on my vm feed either, but i have flashed a few up for other desperate peeps prepared to take the risk to get the footy thats less than 3 weeks awayComment

I dont watch much tv, but i will miss my KVa700 when it goes. I think vermin are going to loose alot of customers becasue SLY has forced this N3 update. I think vermin will only be good for the phone.... Maybe vermin might look the other way at tracing your IP, due to the fact that they want a basic sub off you, i dunno, just rambling. One more thing, can i use a usb wifi dongle with the A780 to pick up my broadband via router, thanks Wilf

seem most just use home plugs if the router not in same room as box, quite cheap from ebayComment

Oh right, ok. Ive not had any experience with homeplugs but i get the basic idea of them. Wondering how to configure them, or are they plug and play. If anyone wants to pm me where i can get an A780 then that wud be great. Thanks for any info recieved also, this is the only forum that i actually keep comming back to

they're plug and play mate you have one to the router and one to each box so if you got 2 boxes 3 home plugs neededComment

Just read up on home plugs and watched a ut*be video, they look easy. Now all i have to worry about is watching tv thru my vermin internet ( is nothing simple , ) . Thanks
