My Kryptview box is arriving tomorow, and I need to put the firmware on it. If I ever need to have it repaired on warranty, is it possible to restore its old firmware so it is still covered?

If you have bought from a reputable trader it wont matter what firmware is on it. The warranty should cover the hardware not the software.
