a780 network scanning problem

hi

ive loaded the firmware correctly (i hope) and im following the tutorial

then im selecting automatic scan, selected 1 ntl , then 'network'

it goes through that and picks up 7 network id's (i think - they show up as 'Already exists')

then the box attempts to find channels, but cant find any at all

ive tried this with and without ethernet

and straight into the cable line, pretty much every combination i could think of

anyone had this problem ? or am i doing something wrong or have i flashed it wrong ?

are you scanning for network channels only?
also, always do a factory reset before a scan
scan without ethernet

just to make sure your scanning properly m8


1 do a factory reset
2 select automatic scan
3 change provider to telepest
4 change channel type to "networked"
5 start scan (green buton i think)
6 after a few mins a list of tp's should appear
7 chose one nearest your location
8 box should now scan and store all channels.
if there are still channels missing, then you may have a weak signal

i made the silly error in thinking my area was ex ntl (since i only joined when VM took over)

my area was ex C&W
