Krypt view connected to external hard drive

I'm thinking of going for kryptview when santa's been n gone so i have a question. I bought myself a WD 1tb external hard drive not being to computer savvy, i've learned that i can partition it as much as i want. So my question is would it work if i was to partition so much of it for use on any future kryptviewbox i may get? If not what is the largest capacity i could buy.

There are no working K/views that support PVR at the moment.

I do believe one is being worked on and it may be an HD version.
