1. switch off your router and modem
2. connect your box to your router using an ethernet cable (don't use the any of the cables you got with homeplugs)
3. switch on modem, wait 2 mins, switch on router, wait two mins, switch on box...
4. go into menu, s/w update and see if it can connect.....
hi there anyone can help i have thinking of getting kv box last 2 weeks and i am still not clear if i should i get one, some questions
1. what do i need for the kv box to work -at the moment i have talktalk broadband and i have a ntl line but have not subscribed to any service
2.where do i buy the box from and what should come with it? how much is the approx price?
3.Do the box's come with latest firmware (what should it be?) and if not is it easy for me to download considering my computer knowledge is very limited..
4. i also hear that the kv box could go anytime soon as the server is being controlled from a n1 area and it is matter of time when n3 rolls out in this area the server will work no more..how true is this???

i know its a lot of queries please helpppppppp
1. you need an internet connection and a cable feed. so you've got those.
2. You can find alot of online shops that supply these boxes. However, the kryptview is very rare so i would rather buy it from a trusted dealer. take a look at the lincsat shop. google it. the box approx costs between 100 to 200 pounds i think. Everything you get with it is listed.
3.the box comes unflashed like all other boxes you get. its up to you to flash it. have a look around this forum and you'll easily get your help. its very simple to flash mate.
4. if it goes it goes but i'm sure these guys on the other side of the wire will surely be ready for it. They can easily use the n3 cards. its just the set-up is more expensive, so possibly you can expect a price increase after this happens.

is that working ? would you reccomned that and how much does that box cost ?
it costs 220 pounds but i would say stick with the kryptview. It certainly has the best cable server with minimum disruptions. Go for the kryptview. Starview have problems with their server.
