What set up works best?

Hi all, I have trwled through the forums looking for an answer to my problem but so far nothing is clear to me.

I have recently bought and set up my Kryptview a780 and have my VM cable fed into the KV and it is connected to my router via ethernet cable.
I use the internet connection via my laptop.

The router is only a few feet from tv and computer.

The signal is good but I quite often get the scramled sign coming up on the screen, is there a better way of setting up the system via other cable set up's or accessories.

Also when the laptop is on but the lid closed the continuity is affected.

Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by "I use the internet connection via my laptop".

You should have four out sockets on your router, any of these can be used to connect to the box or your computer. The single in socket connects to your modem.

some chanels are scrambling now and again , there doing server maintanance

My query was that with just the router on I get a lot of intermittent scrambled messages, wheras with the laptop on it is not as bad.

Are there routers that work better with kryptview?

For wired connections I dont think theres much difference in router. All the router does is split the signal without loss.
