    Just received i connector

Have just received the i connector for my A750 box.

I'll try set it up later when I get in from work.

Just to save time asking you guys loads of questions later could someone give me an idiots guide as to what to do.

Is it a case of flashing the firmware on my box and then connecting up the i connector? if so which firmware do I use on my A750?

    Cheers

When you have the software on the box for the Iconn there is a facility in the Installation menu to update the software online.

              Menu
              Installation
              S/W Update

It should load the latest by itself or will tell you that you have the latest.

I've factory reset, flashed the box with the bin from above and rescanned my box but same problem - still only getting channels 1-5. All other channels are scrambled. I've also done a software update. Still no joy.

When I did a re-scan I pressed Network and Telewest and found a local TP (birmingham)
Have I used the right bin file on my box?

                Cheers

If software update didn't do anything and you not getting channels there is a connection problem with your internet.

Are you using the correct ethernet (straight). If your getting 1 - 5 you have scanned correctly. Just got to sort out the iconnector to mate with the box.

When you first connected the Iconn did the box show a loading count up to 100? this is the Iconn configuring with the box.

The bin file on 4 shared is the one on my box.

I can assure you he now has all 5 or he wouldn't have been able to start the update. The problem is definately a connection problem, internet not getting to box.

Yes the box did count up to 100. All channels have been received its just a case of unscrambling them.

                            Ill check my leads now.

Thanks for all your time and patience its much appreciated

Right. The Iconn & Box have been configured so your null modem cable is connected correctly.

Make sure your ethernet cable is pushed fully home and locked into both your router and Iconn.

Now starting with your modem unplug for 20 secs and plug back in.

After 1 minute unplug your router and plug back in after 20 secs. After 1 min do the Iconn then finaly the box.

Leave it on S/Sports 1 for a while. Had one yesterday took 20 mins.

The Iconn should go from 2 to 3 lights then to 4 and 3 intermitently
