Connecting from neighbours wireless Internet to my kryptview A780

    Hi Guys
I do not have a vermin broadband connection and
am trying to connect my kryptview A780 to my neighbour's wireless BT ADSL router. I can already access his internet (with his permission) using my laptop, but how does my A780 access his wifi.
People have mentioned wireless bridge, but how do i go about it?
    Thanks in advance

You could use one of these>OpenMedia Wifi Bridge -
If you have a strong signal on your laptop from your neighbours network then this will work.
You will first need to set this up on your neighbours wireless network for it to work, so you will need to know his log in/security details.

I use this on a DM500s and it works well.

the other way is to set up ICS on your laptop and run a ethernet x-over cable to kv from laptop, downside your lappy would need to be on when watching telly...

Not over sure but maybe good homeplugs will work, you will, however, have to have oone plugged in in your neighbours house to be fed into their router.
The wireless connection would depend upon how far your KV is from your neighbours router. Maybe someone who's not a technophobe can collaborate or say it's no good!

Homeplug are not likely to work. If the power supply to the house is a single phase from three phase sub station the next door will be on a different phase.

It was worth a train of thought but I knew someone would know, if you could or couldn't.

Cheers, this worked perfectly. And i've even managed to feed the crossover into my old cable router and distribute via home plugs.

You need to use a crossover cable as opposed to a standard ethernet cable. This looks the same as a standard cable but is wired differently
