Have I got This Right ???

Ive been a SV4 user for a while until N3 jumped in and ruined it .

I'm trying to decide whether to go for the SV6 or 7 or the KV780, So have I got this right?

KV is the better one to go for?
When I have got the KV, I need to connect to the modem for the codes to get sports/movies etc?
When connected all that goes through the modem is the codes and not any streaming?
I will need to buy the cables to alter the FW before it will even work at all ?

I have been reading for days but as im a newb with this stuff ive just got so confused

    Thx

      Thanks thewizardofodds,

Is there anything else you think i might need to know?

Also where would i get these cables from? I'd need the usb one as my laptop only has USB.

I was OK with the SV4 as it was easy this just all seems way too hard lmao

      Thanks

I am a fully qualified Technophobe mate and doing the Biz on KV is childs play once the cables are in, away you go, job done, I didn't use the YouTube Vid, but have heard it's foolproof.

Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending their injured. RUGBY PLAYERS SPEND 80 MINUTES PRETENDING THEIR NOT!

Cheers for the vid, that will help alot.

One thing i would like toknow is what leads do i need to connect my laptop (it doesnt have a 9 pin) via USB, and how easy is doing the updates etc?

Any idea where i can get the cable from?

I have a Cable connection upstairs and down stairs so is there a way to get 2 boxes to work one via ethernet and one via these homeplugs? Would that be a easy setup too ?

Thanks again for all the info
