Hi,does anyone know of any way to recover this box or is it in the bin time? And please no more suggestions about try loading the firmware etc.if you don't know of a way to definately recover the box don't think I am being ungrateful but genuine advice only please,cheers.

If the front panel shows any lights when switched on it should load the bin file. If its just showing two dots it could be a problem.

I live in St.Johns Wood in London.However I know that it should be able to overwrite the wrong firmware and it has driven me mental the time I have spent trying to sort it out.I have been in touch with tailormadecircuits as he is often a good source of advice on these boxes and I am gonna send it to him for him to take a look at it.What I found frustrating that I tried to load the correct firmware using the same cable,loader and com port settings etc. and it would not happen.I tried every variation and every possible thing I could do and the first person who picks it up will probably fix it straight away.Anyhoo thank you to all who replied here and for taking time out to help.

I think I'd send it to TMC to look at, and keep fingers crossed!

I sent it to TMC and he is having the same probs I had so I kinda feel unique and stoopid at the same time as everyone bleats on about how fab kryptview are and I ahve discovered a flaw in them(sic)

The Kview is a good box, you just had a bit of back luck, can't believe its ~~~~ed

Based on your signature and you post, I would never ask you for advice on fixing my box because KV's don't have any ATmels!

ATmel = a manufacture of TSOP48

KV have a TSOP48 but not an ATmel, uses an STMicro

At least you read the sig unlike all the ***** on here mate.
However feel the need to post stupid post.
Never had one so dont know what chips are in them but to be honest most people call them atmels and to be fair theres not a lot of difference really.

your such an expert that did not know sh1t 18 months ago when you joined. Even talking about NAGRA 2 ffs.
Do share your expert knowledge regarding rsa key.

I am always keen to further my knowledge and TSOP48 is a new one on me.I assume it has summat to do with the chip(s) in the box and how do I go about lifting it? Cheers.

dont be too sure as not knowingnagra 2 was irl remember as we have now gone to n3 and blank screen,uk went from n1- n3.

dont forget some info has to stay hidden for security reasons.
