we are paying around ?150 for a box, that gives you more or less hassle free tv on all channels...
if we get a year out of it, then we are quids in, in my opinion.....

I only expected my EV to last 12 months, I got 7 years, all you need to look at is price of box, channels gained from box against, cost of channels from Sly /Vermin, divide by monthly cost = how long said box equates to.

?150 for box. approx ?45 pm for said channels from Sly/Vermin, so if you box lasts only 4 months you've gained.

I think thats right innit Barrowman

Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending their injured. RUGBY PLAYERS SPEND 80 MINUTES PRETENDING THEIR NOT!

I still think its a sales gimmick.. its just like a payserver in disguise

Only instead of paying directly to hook up any old box to the payserver you have to buy -this- box and set it up to get on the server.... thing is it's just the same as any old last gen box, nothing special, reminds me of the Spiderbox.... a box with nothing special but sells by focusing a BIG emphasis on what it does when connected to a server

How much would you say a KV780 is on its own?... 75-85.. so the rest is obviously server fees.. I know that makes sense in a way for what it does, but its still a gimmick to sell a box... just the same as setting up a server then releasing a FW for kryptviews to hook into and charging people in

It's cheap telly. You either take the chance or you don't. As has been said they have been going 8 months now, so those in at the beginning are quids in. In 8 months time those who buy now will be the same.

SIRUS. "pay server in disguise"? , where's the disguise? It IS a pay server.

I have it on good authority from a mate of mine who eats in a chinese restaurant owned by a geezer from hochie minge city that has a cousin who works in the factory next door to the kryptview franchise that all leave has been cancelled until further notice and they are working 7 days a week to turn these boxes out.Or as has happened in the past verybody wants them and wait for long enough and the price will drop as the market reaches saturation stage.I would not give the greedy bastard on fleebay 170 quid for something that should be at least 20 quid cheaper.

Sorry my mistake. I meant my EV box in general I did update it to the 2008 version so technically my 2 EV's total cost 239, but the point in principle is the same. :-)
