Does anyone know if its o.k to have a a780 on a direct cable feed and leave the virmin box off{no power}
i removed the splitter as i was having probs with freezing......
the virmin box was turned into a fta 3 years ago......so i dont pay for any chans or subs.......also should the a780 be turned off...power completely off.....in the nights....

If you are not paying subs I wouldnt worry about the VM box. However I would recommend at least minimum subs if you want to keep your line on a permanent basis, they can disconnect you at any time.

Powering off the KV780 overnight is not a problem, however as it carries out a background scan in standby, any transponder changes will not be picked up with box completely powered off.
