    CONNECT TO ROUTER

    HI I'M CONSIDERING GETTING A KVA780 IT SEEMS I NEED TO CONNECT THROUGH MY BROADBAND BUT THE ROUTER IS IN THE BEDROOM AND THE TV IS IN THE LOUNGE
    WAS TOLD TO GET ONE OF THOSE PLUG IN THINGS FOR THE ROUTER BUT MY LOUNGE PLUG SOCKETS ARE ON A DIFFERENT LINK TO MY BEDROOM

    SO IS MY ONLY OPTION A LONG CABLE TO CONNECT

    NOT VERY TECHNO SORRY

      Hi mate, first off take off the caps bud, its considered shouting.

      Secondly you want to get some homeplugs, they send the signal around your internal wiring then to the box.

        That's not correct, provided both rooms are on the same phase they will comminicate.

        Bear in mnd also that if you have a neighbour on the same phase as your house then they may also get a signal so set up the security/

          They would need to be using Homeplugs too tho. ;-)...and have a box.

            Why? They could use the homeplugs to get internet for any devices capable of receiving internet.

              Home plugs aren't exclusive to the use of cable boxes, once conneccted a neighbour could get free internet., it's no different than a router that doesn't have a key if you don't use the security.
