    Problems setting up INVALID MAC !

    Ive just tried to set my dads Kryptview 780 box up , ive connected everything up but im getting the INVALID MAC on the set up page , does anyone know whats wrong

      On the main set up page , it also doesn't pick up any areas when Im searching ?

        The boxes obviously have a mac address built into them, probably in the flash.

        Have you tried reflashing the box or S/W Update online.

          The seller said he had already flashed the box for me , shall I re flash the box with the software on my laptop that I did on my own box that is working okay , how do I reset the box to factory again

            Just flas the box then when you switch it on again:

            Menu
            Installation
            0000 password
            Factory Default Setting

              suppliers can not sell updated firmware on boxes as they are sold as fta,check system info and see what firmware is listed,i would say it would have a mac error with fta firmware and when reflashed be ok.

                Exactly right.

                FTA doesnt require or facilitate tinternet so no mac required until the s/w is updated. There is no facility to update online until the FTA has been overwritten.
