kryptview firmware version

Hi There
I have just bought a kryptview A780 and am just waiting on delivery.
Is there any way to find out what version of firmware has been installed.
i would not want to flash it unless i have to

It will normally come as not flashed, so would have no fw on it.

Try the following
On remote press MENU - then SYSTEM INFORMATION - this will give you firmware installed.
My box came with out of date FW,
So just MENU - INSTALATION - password 0000 - SW UPDATE.
I can only say what I did.
If no Fw is flashed you might have to go to the KV stickies to flash the box

Any box supplied with FTA will not have the S/W update facility. If this is the case it will need to be flashed by the computer or another box back to back.

To check:
Menu
Installation
0000

S/W update will be 4 down if it has S/W other than FTA.
