    can you please help me new to kv 780 i have downloader loader and gone to get software the 1 i have got is 090910 sasmo saying 180510 when i try to get this one it come up with erer mirror check or something ilike that so am i ok to put in 090910 and then up date via lan to 180510 i no this may sound silly but not sure on this many thanks

    It's other way around the updates are in date order.

      so 180510 is ok to use thenifthats the case and thakyou for getting back i may need more advice over the next couple of days

          up date

          only got 180510 and box coming 2morrow once sofrtware is downloaded i do a factory reset search for area then scan do i need any secrt codes like other boxes use to like starview etc

            Once the software is on the box you can just scan or do a S/W update then scan. The only code is the default password 0000

              beware with firmware the latest 090910 to my knowledge has 2 parts one for each model the 750 and the other 780.

              when you check downloads above look for firmware for your model the 780 only and latest.

                i wonder if that is why a few members seem to be experiencing some strange problems.....

                  yes think it is as firmware on both will update on the net,but firmware differs for each box originally.

                  new boxes new problems

                    I been having problems with mine ,i downloaded the new file,could that be my prob?dont think it is though as i have updated it on line and still no joy,think my box is faulty.

                      when updating i would factory reset,remove splitters and lan,double check what firmware was loaded if file is on lappy or pc to be sure correct one was used as its no good saying i used the latest 750 or 780 files,as its all new to us as well we need all info for maximum answer.

                      ok factory reset then scan with lan removed double check correct provider and net id is used,then reboot box and connect lan and reboot router
