Same here in s/w....first 10 mins bad....then turned off kv and router....turned back on and first half was o.k......after half time bad again.......tried reboot but still went in and out off scrambled for rest of match.....bleeding nuisance

Maybe sounds like server was not able for heavy traffic & got
overloaded. Try Bolton game at 4 see will it be same problem.

It looks that way......but last week on ss the utd game was fine.........it may be a prob with espn as my old dm500c had issues with espn from time to time...........

I had the same problem with espn yesterday, ss1 was fine for both game today though.

I believe it is happening because for the server to work it needs cards and these people with the cards only join and serve their cards to get paid back with the "extra" chnls they don't have(like ESPN) so they are priority..

So when a big game is on the sharers will get the ecm's first because they're sharing the other packages of their card, meaning everyone else gets the ecm's a second or so later and that's what makes it freeze.. just like hop2,3,4 on Sat c/s

It's because theres only a few cards with ESPN package, but probably lots with the usual packages.. so plenty of ecm's for normal packages, and not enough ecm's to go around "fast enough" for everyone to watch ESPN without freezing.. so ones on the server who arent serving have to wait for it to go through a sharers box first

The problem that arose with espn recently was most likely down to a broadband problem at the location of the card server that is sharing espn, as well as others on the same transponder. So if the information isnt getting to the main overseas relay within the proper time threshold then we will all experience problems. To get around future similar problems KV would be wise to either.

1: Ensure that these channels are being subscribed for on more than 1 package.

2: Have a backup broadband provider at all upload server locations.

I would say that no 1 is the most cost effective course of action here.

The mid week problem i am told was down to an unavoidable problem at the overseas data center that hosts the KV main relay servers. Fair enough but i personally wish the KV team or anyone who speaks on their behalf would just be honest about these problems at the time instead of avoiding the obvious. Both of these problems when it boils down to it were server problems, but they seem to try and avoid admitting this for god knows what reason. Problems like this will happen hopefully not to often and not at prime viewing times and kudos to the team for sorting things out quick style, but say it like it is kv team and dont try to pass the blame or sugar coat it, people will respect the honest truth a lot more.
