Some help please

I need some help around saving the firmware file to my computer because my computer is asking me if I want to use windows to locate what program to open it with and I cant open it currently.Excuse my ignorance on this.Any help please?

Are you double clicking on the bin file??

If so that is why windows is looking for a program to open it with.

I assume you are trying to load the .bin file to your box?

More info on what your trying/wanting to do.

What I'm doing from the begining is from the download button when it says do you want to save this file or find a prgram online to open it with, I'm saving it but you can't open it, I'm stuck Does this help?

Also I am double clicking on the bin file type blank little note page.I haven't hooked it up to my box yet but was just testing.

stupid question, but do have winrar?
are you having problem upzipping files?
both files need to be unzipped

also you do NOT open the bin file, do not double click it, only unzip it.....
you open the loader and load the bin file onto it.....

No don't have winrar, I have saved it to a zipped folder an can do nothing with it.

It just show a blank like note paper page when I click into it.I am no tech geek so excuse my ignorance on it although I do always end up figuring how to do these things like I have just downloaded the latest edition of photoshop

you need to instal winrar or winzip to unzip those files
