query on kryptview!

Hi i am a newbie whos read a few posts about kryptview being the way to go from eurovox....done some searching found a box but only comes with FTA channels....just wanting to know how easy it is to get the box up and running as the seller says if you "jtag" ??(not sure) the box then there is no refunds........ i live in sheffield dunno if this has any relevance just put it in there as i read a thread asking for location to find right provider to scan for.......

any help much appreciated before i commit to it thanks all!!

Hi,

All boxes come with FTA firmware and all vendors will rabbit on about voiding the warranty if you put any other firmware on, they have to in order to protect themselves.

How easy is it to get up and running? Dead easy if you follow the guide in the sticky at the top of this forum.

im having the same problem choosing a box but i think i will go for the kryptview a780 after reading what other people have said about them.

Your supplier is taking the piss out of you. You dont jtag these boxes, you flash them using a null modem cable. So I would suggest you check with your trader again, as it sounds like he is scamming you!

he probable means flashed with updated firmware not jtag,it was the same for other boxes

OK thanks well i havent bought any box yet it was just the first one i came across when searching....so in that case is there any trader someone can recommend?

and how often does the software need updating (roughly?)...do you get a good couple of months use at least?
