    Channels keep scrambling

I got a kryptview A 780 for a mate and loaded correct software and it was working good here at my place in north london. He took it down to his place and everything was ok for a day and now everytime he changes channels everything comes up as scrambled and he has to do a factory reset and rescan everything. We have tried several net id's but it keeps happening. For the record his broadband service is with talk talk.Anyone had similar experiences or know what the problem is,many thanks.

it sound like a tinternet issue to me.
next time dont factory reset etc. just re-boot modem/router see if that helps it....

as for net id's, your best to find out which one he should be on and stick with it.......

    p.s.
i dont use talk talk, but i have heard that they are p*ss.
never heard anyone say a good word about them....

All depends on which operating system you have.

Basically, you need to repair your connections which will disable and re-enable the network. As the network enables it resets the IP, so as long as your box and other devices are using the net your computer will select a different IP to the other devices.

In XP go to start click on connections then all. Select the connection you are using (lan or wireless) right click and in the drop down box click disable. Leave for 30 seconds then right click again and click enable. Wait until the connection show "Connected".

The above can be done like Windows 7 below, some versions of XP differ slightly.

In Windows 7 go to start and click on Control Panel, click on Network & Sharing or Network Status then on Change Adaptor Settings. Select your connetion (lan or wireless) right click and in the drop down box click disable. Leave for 30 seconds then right click again and click enable. Wait until the connection show "Connected".

I have TT (formerly Tiscali). I can honestly say in ten years I have never had any problems other than the odd outage time (max two hours)

Is that right BMA that you dont use TT yoy just TT.
