ethernet cable wont connect to internet from black port

like i said, my netgear router has one yellow ethernet port and 4 black ports, ethernet cable does not work from black ports, so how can i work round this, is there such a thing as a splitter for the ethernet port ? p.s, yes it clicks in ok to black ports

I am presuming you have Virgin internet. The YELLOW cable should connect to your virgin MODEM. The other 4 BLACK ports are infact also Ethernet ports. You may need to logon to your router to see why these are not working. Try connecting a laptop to one of these black ports, to see if your internet works on the laptop (disable wireless on you laptop first!)
