Kryptview 780 and my Internet TV just wont get on HELP........

Hi all, not posted for a while as the information on this site is again second to none but i have finally hit a brick wall in my big move from the D Box to the 780 and thought i would pick the great brains of Digital Kaos....

Right I have a Kryptview 780, works fine......i also have an LG LED TV with LAN point at the back which allows you to go on you tube i player etc again works fine........ Problem is they just wont work together once plugged into the router..........its never the same platform that wont work but when plugged in together they will just not function. one will.... one wont. like I say it isn't the same system that wont work one times its the 780 that shows the green error message in the middle of the screen and other times its the TV that says no connection. Its not the cable as i have tried various cables and combinations and i still get the same problem and its not the router as again i have tried various things plugged into the router such as PC two laptops PS3 and they all work in the the 4 ports in the back of the router no problem.... so my question is What am i doing wrong??????

any advice would be appreciated.

There could be a conflick of Ip's. I have found this and reset the Ip's on the Laptops with the A780 working on a scrambled channel.

You say the TV and A780 wont work together. Why would you want the TV on the net watching You Tube and the A780 on as well, am I missing something?

Ive got a feeling it is a conflict between the IP's on the TV and the 780....... not sure if i explained it well enough........ My TV has certain extra features such as the internet on it meaning i can go on you tube i player some weather channels etc..... As you say i wouldnt want to have them on at the same time but i also dont want to have to get down to my router every time i want to switch between the two and want to be able to do it through the remotes......but they will both not co exsist when plugged into the router on different ports.....infact they will only work if they are plugged in port one of my router.....there is nothing wrong with the ports as i can get my laptop to work a wired network from all the ports..... How can i find out on the 780 what its IP address is??? so i can see if it is a conflict between the two........

Best thing to do would be start with everything switched off, but before switching off make sure the A780 is left on a scrambled channel.

Switch on the 780 and wait to see the data lights on the router flickering. Reboot the router. With the 780 left on switch on the TV and put in internet mode. Reboot the router. Last do the same with your computers, switch on, browser open. Reboot the router.

You can then check by entering your routers ip into your browser and looking for attached devices, this will show the ip's and macs for the devices. If any ip's are duplicated you have a problem.

Just another thought. If you can afford a tv with fancy extra features you can afford a monthly subscription to the tv bandits.
