    Virgin engineer calling!

Over the last 48 hours I have been unable to get any internet connection into my house. After trying all the usual stuff (turning the modem on/off, fiddling with the wires) I reluctantly phoned virmin who advised me that they were struggling to get a connection into the house. He advised me that he can get an engineer out to fix the problem. This obviously isn't ideal due to my kryptview being on full display! However, I'm going to remove it from display and take out the home plugs. The purpose of this post is to just find out if there's anything else I should be doing (other than not letting him on at all!!). I don't think it can be fixed without the engineer looking at it. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Most of the engineers are sub contracted to the company. Some even suppy the boxes. I wouldnt worry too much about whats on display.

He will come do his job and go away again, unless VM have started some commision for grassing people up that is

remove any splitters or points that shouldnt be there according to them, as they will remove them for you and you will need to aquire splitters and cable again after he's gone. As said most engineers are as corrupt as f@ck but dont rely on it as you could be the unlucky one who gets the right jobsworth b@stard.
