    NTL channels have dissappeared

Does anyone know what to do when NTL channels are not being found when doing a re-scan. I have tried Telewest and the box does capture them but the choice is limited. The other thing i notice is that signal strength when scanning for NTL seems to be on 56%. I have tried setting to box to factory settings and starting all over again but to no avail? Please help and advise.

no the box is connected via ethernet cable to the router. The fact that the box can pick channels from Telewest means the internet is connected.

When you have selected TW or NTL are you pressing the green button and getting a list of towns to select from? If not Factory Reset and try again.

I cannot seem to get the box back to where it allows you to pick servers in different cities. Have reset to factory settings. And have now just re-flashed the software on the box. Still no city choices offered in the install menu?

When you have factory reset, switch the power off for 20 seconds then back on again.

When you have selected provider press the green button without pressing ok.

this box needs a coaxial signal to scan for channels,do you just have a bb connection and no tv sub,if so signal may be capped and too low to receive channels, also scan from direct feed, what firmware is on box?

Hi I sorted it. Basically you have to delete the channels and then factory reset. Then switch of box for 20 seconds and switch back on. After that choose Telewest to scan and the cities appear. It all works fine after that. Next problem is getting rid of the background humming sound. But I will deal with that on another day !
