kv780 unable to find correct area

Hi all,

I am unable to find my area when I do a network scan. I have tried all the providers but nothing seems to show it. I looked at the list here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...anning-174735/ and when I scan for net ids the one for wembley doesn't show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have provider box look in menu, it will show provider &
correct NET-ID. If you don't have prov. box try any provider &
select NET-ID close to Wembley. Try diff. providers & NET-ID's
until box starts to scan.
I think Wembley is EX-C&W ,NET-ID 41047

I can get the box to scan and also get most channels but not in the right order and always with channels like BBC missing so I haven't had a scan where the channels end up like BBC1, BBC2, ITV....and so on.

Also when I do the network scan for EX C&W, it seems to have 41046 and then 41048 so it completely skips 41047.

I don't know if that can be a common problem and when i get home tongiht I will try a few more different networks, I have tried most of the london or close to london ones already though. I will also check on the legit vm box to see what that has as the network id (if im not too drunk!!) :-)

I had the KV 700 last year and didnt have this type of issue at all.

Wembley is 41047, have a look under N*L if it's not under C&W. When you have correct NET-ID all channs will be in
correct order. If you are going to the pub best to leave scan
until to-morrow

funny thing happens when i use NTL for the network scan....it doesnt come up with the list and ask me to choose the network, instead it looks for the networks and then automatically switches to the channel scan screen

I'd say stick with C&W & 41047

Stop doing a network search.

When you have selected either NTL or EX C&W Press the green button and the areas should appear after a few seconds be patient as they dont all appear at once.

I am a newbie on the forum because untill now the guides and previous advice....advice from the two of you and other vets, means i have never had cause to post!! apart from me saying hello.

I cannot understand why I cannot find wembley and it's net id doesnt exist on my scans, it actually does go 41046 and then 41048.

I know to be patient...i left it for 3 hours last night...either i'm being really thick or i have a freak problem....and odds are better on me being really thick!! :-)

If prov box says 41069 you now only have to enter correct
prov name, I'd say TW. Your area is actually Ealing I think
Select 41069 from list of Net-ID's. If 41069 is not listed under
TW try C&W. You should disconnect LAN-cable from box while
scanning. Happy Christmas
