Downtime & bravo, bravo +1

Hello New to here. my box has been going down quiet abit for the past few days after a full reset and scan seems to work ok can any 1 help with this and tell me why this is happening.

Also lost Bravo, Bravo+1 living, living+1 amd syfy.

It may be a server issue causing the lost channels. Make sure your firmware is up to date;
MENU--SETTINGS--S/W UPDATE--OK
This will update your firmware, or tell you it's already up to date
Before you scan disconnect LAN-cable from box & do a fac-reset
Make sure you use correct NET-ID for your area, this can be
found in menu on provider box. If you are not sure of NET-ID
try a few diff. NET-ID's near to your location. When you use
correct NET-ID channels will be in correct order;
BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV 1, etc. If channels are not in this order you
are using wrong NET-ID & will not clear all channels
I think Edinburgh is Provider TW & NET-ID 40981
Once your firmware is up to date & you scanned correct NET-ID
if you are missing channs. it's probably a server issue.
If your box goes down again try rebooting router then box.
Just wondering do you power off box at night or put into stand
by.
You could turn POWER-SEARCH MODE on in box menu & put
box to stand-by overnight. Box will then search for missing
channs. overnight. Just be aware power search will scan in any
deleted channs again & will re-arrange All Channs. list in
original factory order

Beg to differ Jo, but since introduction of LAN-cable boxes there
have been issues with missing channs. & picture freezing on some
channs. (ESPN) at peak viewing times with all servers & all boxes.
I'm not talking about novices who have set up boxes incorrectly,
but senior members who I imagine have boxes set up correctly.
If you are saying it's a prov. problem why are official boxes not
suffering from same issues

what iam saying bud is i aint got any probs with chanels mentioned missing or glitchin on espn so i thought it would be same for most

off / on. with server probs lately.

Glad you're not having any problems Jo, but a lot of areas have
had missing channs. for a week or more at a time. Any Saturday
evening game on espn you will read lots of posts about freezing
picture or loss of picture. This doesn't seem to happen on S*y
sports when they have live games. This would suggest that not
enough servers inputting to the system have espn in their package
When a lot of people tune to espn server is not able for increase
in traffic

Thanks for all the advice i have rebooted the router etc all before as i said all seems to be ok @ the mo and the s/w is upto date. will keep you all update.

From what i have been reading in other post this is a common problem been going on for months.
