i have just gone onto windows 7 and i have just downloaded kv software 180510 .normally once downloaded i get like a a4 sheet with some sort of text on it very small i may add on but windows 7 i just get a a4 sheet with no scrblie on it just plan is that ok .

that is not the latest for 780 if that is what you have,sometimes there is a text written with files sometimes not,always check model and firmware dates for each box. notepad its called

thanks for that i no its the older vission but just wanted to make sure that being plan on white file was ok cos having some promblems getting used to window 7 as only had it for a couple of days and as i am used to xp and ever time i downloaded it always had text on it so just checking

The file when extracted should be 1280kb in size.

I know what you mean about the icon as mine was the same in Win 7 until I downloaded VLC Media and the icons changed to traffic cones. Work just the same.

VLC has associated bin files as part of its default download process you can dis-associate them if you prefer, but it will cause no conflicts as you have said.

Just leave it as it is.

Have you checked the size of the file? if its 1289kb its odds on its ok.

When flashing the loader will not allow you to load it if its of the wrong type.

ie
Firware bin file
Channel Data si file

not to sure on flie size in properties, under location i have size 125mb(1.310.720bytes)
size on disk 1.25(1.310.720bytes)
is this the flie size if not how can i find it thanks

That is the correct size as shown in the properties of the file.

All you got to do now is flash it to the box.
