cant come out of easy installation screen , goes to network scan and list of network id s just shows allready exists.
Automatic search shows no channells , then when exiting from complete goes back to easy installation screen.

My brother had a similair situation with his new box and it turns out that he had connected his cable feed to the fm port of the cable splitter therefore was not receiving a signal. Once he realised his mistake and piped it up to the tv feed all was fine. Might not be related but worth checking.

Top o' the mornin' to you and yours Cacti. Sorry haven't been in
touch lately, been on away active service duty in Far-East. The're
still on nagra 1 in SG region & have had a few key-rolls lately so
anyone without upto date scce & keys had to manually enter keys
Do you have fond memories of those days in the civilised world
Satsmo was a bit slack in monitoring SGsta*hub thread so it got
out of control. In fairness to Satsmo he atoned for his lack of due diligence. When he wielded the axe he was ruthless. No one was spared. He deleted hundreds of posts in thread even some of mine
When he had SG thread sorted out I then informed him SG users
had encroached on to 4 or 5 other threads. He went ballistic
Natural order has now been restored. I PM'd 40 members the files needed to fix auto-roll c/w Dummies guide for Flash-FXP & told them to PM them on to others
All was fine until member posted links on SG thread. Links had
to be deleted then & new link PM'd to everyone again. Satsmo's
head is done in & so is mine at this stage. There is over 5,000
posts on SG thread now. If you have time read posts #4809 &
#4932. It's some laugh but you'd have to bring some humour in
to the proceedings for your sanity alone
By the way Cacti could you not be more helpful to this troubled
KV user. Something like this might be of more benefit to him.
                LOOK AND LEARN;
If KV A780 keeps searching for update; take following steps
                1. Disconnect ALL cables from box & unplug from
                2. Have cup of tea or other bev. (no alcohol 'till box is revived)
3 Plug in power cable ONLY to KV box
4 In KV box menu do FACTORY-RESET
5 Connect Prov TV co-axial cable to KV box
6 Do an Auto-scan for channels (select correct Prov & Net-ID)
7 Check are FTA channels clearing (bbc1, bbc2,Itv1, etc)
8 Connect LAN_cable from router to box ( or homeplugs, etc)
9 Click OK on SW/update in KV box menu
10 Unplug power cable from router & KV box
11 Plug in router power cable & then plug in KV box power cable

If above steps do not revive box best to Fac-reset box & flash
                from PC with this firmware;
                Digital Kaos - Downloads - Kryptview_A780_18062010.bin
You can perform S/W update in box menu when box is sorted

Similar steps to above will sort out KV750 box+i-connector
Just be sure to allow enough time for i-connector to update

Think your beginning to creak at the seams. You can get a fix for
most boxes but Alzheimers disease is more secure than nagra 3
The civilised world is gone N3 but SG(Singapore region) is still
                    Nagra 1

I would prefer to be corrected by other member than mislead
another member with advice, Alex. I read your posts & have no
doubt about your competence with KV boxes & your connection
to KV team. I have posted many times here that I would never
object to being corrected. The reason I suggested older firmware
is I understood box in question was not new But older box which
stuck on S/w update. Again I may be wrong. Either way I need
to edit my earlier post with the footnote new box new firmware
Keep up the good work Alex

Once his box is up & at it again that's the main goal of forum &
appreciate your input re NEW BOX-NEW FIRMWARE as I was not
aware your FTA firmware upload was actually new release I just
assumed FTA f/w was dated from release of 780 box Once again
Alex it has been proven ASSUME NOTHING & if not sure ASK
Am a bit dubious about old firmware possibly causing issues with newer boxes. Since release of KV-700 box KV tech-team have been at top of game in non-linux cable boxes so would be very surprised if any 780 box would have issue with any 780F/W
If F/W is not fit for box loader should not allow flash. Having said all that I do not dispute what you were told by "horse"
Kv team should tidy it up & if problem cannot be remedied then
BOLD warning should be attached to download links
Takes long time to establish good rep but bad rep can be obtained very easily Think we are on same plane Alex & I think you will agree If user loads A750 F/W on A780 box, BAD CALL
but if ANY A780 F/W is used on ANY A780 box it should not brick box. If F/W is that critical newer boxes should be A790-c &
newer F/W should be A790-c fix
Am avid admirer of KV tech-team, They were months ahead of
all non-linux boxes with N2 FIX in Eire, second only to ITGATE
team. Being 2nd to Itgate team is like winning the Olympics
Will read your posts as always Alex, I love learning once it does
not involve going back to college
