if you have tried latest firmware and still getting invalid mac you need to return to your supplier
    alex

just to mention firmware cannot alter an address built into the box, some where left blank=no where to go.

am going by experance m8 its a problem with new firmware not being able to read a certain eprom dureing upgrade later firmware was written to sort this but still an odd failure when upgradeing thats why i say load o9/09 before returning to supplier as 09 often fixes problem

thefry above mentioned that he tried it and not worked along with others in first post, maybe as you say try it to see before contacting supplier.
1 other thing to check log onto your router you should see or not see if mac address is there-blank means a return to supplier.

This cannot be fixed by firmware, this box can only be repaired by Manufacturer not supplier, so get the box back to your supplier and they will return to distributor to be sorted, there is no other fix available for this.

Well if it was sussed from the first post, why did people go on and on about it, any way neither here nor there now he knows what needs to be done so happy viewing to him.

Not many going on about it here TBH.

There is always a fix regardless of whether it comes from the disty or not. A change in hardware can be a pita.

i was only pointing out that if you got invalid mac and you had old firmware on it in some cases loading o9/09/10 firmware or newer can in some cases fix the box worth a try before returning to supplier and was aware that the poster had tried this as it turns out he was a customer of mine and i had spoke to him that day just did not recognise his user name
