no sound or picture from my a780

hi guys---i bought a new a780 because i lost a few of my sports on my old one(1 year old)and was able to download all the programmes but there is no sound or pictures it says "no or bad signal" but the signal is ok when i put the old set back on. i was told i need to download software,so i bought a SWEEX 2 serial port card and cable and when i went to DATA DOWNLOAD all i could find was S/W TRANSFER-----SEND and CHANNEL DATA TRANSFER-------SEND. im lost can any of you guys help me out??????

You need a null modem cable if your box is new, you will need the kryptview loader, and the firmware to flash the box as well, after you flash the box for the first time, the next time you can do it with your remote, never heard of them cables you have there so prob the wrong ones for a start.

i presume you have a basic tv package as no signal message?
cable into correct location on box?
