    Bridge Ethernet VS homeplugs

I am in a 2 way decision whether to go for a Ethernet bridge or homeplug for kryptview box.

Is it true I only have to buy 1 Ethernet bridge and if i go for homeplugs I have to buy 2?

Are they both as good as eachother?

    Thanks in advance

Ethernet bridge only needs one but as the KV has no usb you will also need a power supply (dont think they come with psu).

Homeplugs are good as they make your connection a wired connection. I've been using them for over six months without any problems.

Them Bridges not recommended for the Kryptview, suggest hard wired or home plugs.

the only drawback with homeplugs is if not on the same ring circuit you wont connect.

max theoretical distance is meant to be 200 metres. this includes all the wiring you cant see. e.g. you plug into an upstairs room there is 30m of cable around the ring back to the consumer unit. you plug the second unit into the downstairs ring. say another 30m round that ring to the CU so a total of 60m you should be fine.
they will work fine in most houses - unless you live in a mansion with a homeplug in the east wing trying to connect to one in the stables

Actually not true about having to be on the same ring. The same phase is the important bit. and in a house you only have one phase. there are instances of these things working in a house across the road depending on how the street is wired. it is normal practice to split the phases among houses down a street, so houses next door to each other are unlikely to share a phase (unless wired on a loop through) but across the road very well may.
                Anyway too much information!
Long and short is they are pretty good and will work in most houses just fine!!
