ok hd is only albale with sv and there is not relianble go for kv 780 but it is not hd .there is a hd coming out soon so you my want to wailt but do go with kv for reliabitly

Hi i am having the same dilema i am looking into starview 9600 lan ?179 http://www.wizardsatellite.co.uk/ haven't much experience in this field yet i need to do more investigation first ?179 is a lot of money to loose if i brick it, i think its satallite and cable compatable, im more at home with dbox but time to move on, aparently this is a good box with lots of features

Although SV is the only cable box capable of HD I would stay clear as it is prone to freezing. Your paying that extra money to get a HD box but what is the point if its constantly freezing!

The KV A780 hardly ever freezes but does not have HD capability and the EPG on the starview's are definatly much better then KV but again what is the point if it glitches alot.

Whenever big matches/programmes or events are on that is usually when it freezes loads as servers cant cope with demand

kv are updating all the time to stop frezning and hd will be out soon but 780 set up right the picture is as good as hd you cant go t far wrong with this box a lot better then any other out there at moment

kv a780 is top quality box. picture is as some people say just as good as hd. never, touch wood frozen on me yet . would recommend to anybody looking for 1

AGREED BUT ,picture quality not same as HD. moor like the old dbox if not better,and no krypview hd until the demand for the existing 780 wears off.

The 9600 is a satellite only box, basically like the Spiderbox 9000 without the gift or as much support.

Also remember the Starview only has a life of 12mts, after that new box required, also the Starview Combo is no longer made so support will prob be dropped for this soon, i can only imagine it will end up like all the previous Starview boxes in the bin for people that dont have sat option.

Its a pity Kryptview don't have the Sat option then the sky would be the limit.
