Lost Channels.... doing my head in!!

Right, ive checked id on virgin box so got right id, ive done all the possible different ways of flashing the box etc but no matter what cant get certain channels. Initially ITV and Channel four wont show up, but appear next day. Signal is 82 Q is 72 but just says scrambled... Does it on Sky sports news too but all other sky sports channels work.... Only way i can watch ITV and C4 is by chosing Audio Description channels. Not got ITV2 + 1 but have ITV2 ?????

been like it since December.

Box has LAN lead direct from router to box, as said always Signal of 79-82 on ITV buy shows scrammbled, yet ITV1 Audio description has Signal of 72 and is fine...

There must be a total of 15 ITV channels showing and non work

Must be server issues i guess. Sky sports are fine but Sky sports news is scrambled. Not been on all day

Try this m8

go to instalation

factory settings.press ok

remove lan

auto search

channel search type, network. ok

then press the green button.

choose correct net id.

now let the box do the rest. when done turn box and router off put lan back in then turn box and router back on..

done and no joy.... how come itv an channel 4 dont even come up on search??? turn up overnight usually

i wonder if your scanning on wrong net id and remember always on direct feed to scan with the latest firmware check on providers box if you have one for correct net id

Too be honest i have had nothing but problems with this box. One day i have channels, the next i dont. I can get a channel for 2 days and then for 3 days its gone off. My pic quality and sig level are at 78% and i have no problems with the box or finding transponders apart from the channels going off and on periodically. Thing is, it always seems to be a channel that i wanna watch thats gone off, its like the box knows what i want and say" frig you arsewipe", and i end up channel flicking for 20 minutes trying to find something else. All in all, its not worth the money that i paid for it. Kryptview need to get better servers, god knows what the hd version will be like

Coming up when in powerscan mode is a strong indication that you have scanned on the wrong area.

I am in the Liverpool area and I have had exactly the same problem for a couple of months now. I also have 4 friends using this box and they all have the same issue, No ITV or C4.

I am 100% sure that the net ID I am using is correct as I got it from my sub box... This is not a net ID issue, something else is causing this problem.

I have tried to resolve this issue by doing the usual factory default / rescan / removing splitters etc etc etc... Nothing has fixed it.

These channels work on sub box so would also indicate that this has not been caused by a local area network problem.

Like I mentioned earlier not a biggy though, can still watch these channels using subbed box or audio desc channels.

Also, I have read on other forums about people having exactly the same problem with ITV and C4.

You can try the following if this happens again...

If ITV and C4 return overnight turn off power search mode via remote control.

Go to MENU>SYSTEM SETTINGS>OTHER SETTINGS - Go down to Power Search Mode and select off.

Not 100% sure but by doing this it might lock the channels so that they dont disapear again.
